So ... in case you're wondering where the company name comes from, and maybe whether or not I just can't spell, the "stump" in question is a nod to the venerable Stump-Tailed Macaques (or "Stumpies") resident at Monkey World, Dorset.
Established in 1987 by the late Jim Cronin and his friend Jeremy Keeling, and now run by Jim's wife Alison and her amazing team, Monkey World is an incredible and truly unique primate rescue centre. It is home to over 250 rescued and endangered apes and monkeys from around the world including the largest group of chimpanzees outside of Africa. The daily workings of Monkey World are featured in the very popular TV show "Monkey Life".
My wife Michelle and I have been proud sponsors of Monkey World for some years now and we've committed that for every Stumpbox pedal sold by us, we will donate £1 to them to support their amazing work. All funds go to the Ape Rescue Trust, a 100% fund used solely for the rescue and rehabilitation of primates in need, with no admin costs removed.
Thank you for helping us with this. It is very much appreciated.
